Liverpool Goalkeeper Jaros Joins Sturm Graz on Loan
Loan Move for Vitezslav Jaros
Liverpool goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros has completed a loan move to Austrian Bundesliga side Sturm Graz until the end of the 2022/23 season.
The 21-year-old Czech Republic international has not made a first-team appearance for Liverpool since joining the club in 2020 from Slavia Prague, but he has been a regular for the Reds' U23 side. Jaros will now get the chance to gain some valuable first-team experience at Sturm Graz, who are currently second in the Austrian Bundesliga.
Liverpool goalkeeping coach John Achterberg said: "Vitezslav is a very talented young goalkeeper with a lot of potential. He has made good progress in the last year and this loan move will give him the opportunity to continue his development." Jaros has represented the Czech Republic at U17, U18, and U21 levels.
He was part of the Czech Republic squad that reached the semi-finals of the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Jaros will wear the number 16 shirt for Sturm Graz.
